Welcome to warboroughfestival.co.uk, the website dedicated to the merry Warborough summer festival! Founded in 1965, the annual Warborough Festival is held each summer in July at the Warborough Green. This lovely village green has provided open-air meeting place for the local people and has been used for public celebrations from time immemorial. The event brings together the communities of Warborough and Shillingford for a summer weekend full of joy, music and entertainment!
The Parish of Warborough is located in South Oxfordshire, about 2.5 miles (4 km) north of Wallingford and about 9 miles (14 km) south of Oxford. It consists of 2 villages, Warborough and Shillingford, and has a population of 1,000 inhabitants.
Warborough Green is a typical, quaint British village green. Its charming landscape consists of a mix of maple, limes, oaks and chestnut trees, overlooked by the friendly Six Bells Pub. This warm and cosy pub with a long tradition invites you to relax near the fireplace with a glass of your favourite tipple.
The Green is home to the Warborough & Shillingford Cricket Club and the Warborough & Shillingford Football Club. Because of its picturesque rural charm, it is regularly used as a shooting location for film and television. We are proud to say that it is one of the finest village greens in the country!
Besides giving you updates on the Warborough festival, on our website you can also find information on what to visit in the neighbourhood as well as about other interesting festive events all around Oxfordshire and across UK.
We hope to see you soon in the beautiful Warborough!
